| underside of the plenum. Only one side has threads so it's impossible to install them incorrectly. It's pretty easy to diagnose a bad PCV if you get it out. Basically the valve should open and close freely. If the PCV valve is stuck open, you may notice seals & gaskets leaking from excessive pressure. First thing though, the dipstick would probably blow out. However, the dipstick blowing out can also be caused by low compression.
